Such an easy recipe, as you can cook your own chicken and use the stock or if in a hurry buy a precooked chicken and stock from supermarket.
You can make on the day, or the day before and heat just before your guests arrive. Goes well with salad or vegetables.

Ingredients
- 2 onions
- 50 grams butter
- 4 rashers bacon
- 1 tin asparagus
- Breadcrumbs - optional
- For the sauce:
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 1/4 cup milk
- 1 1/4 cup chicken stock from boiled chicken
- 50 g cheese
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions
- Boil a whole chicken, and when cool enough strip off meat place in oven serving dish.
- Chop and fry onions and bacon in a little butter.
- Place onions, bacon and asparagus on top of chicken.
- Place butter in pan that onions and bacon were cooked, melt.
- Add flour and fry for 1 minute.
- Add remaining sauce ingredients and stir till thickens, and pour over chicken.
- Top with breadcrumbs if desired.
- Place in oven 180 c for about 30 mins or until heated through.
