A kiwi classic – try this to make your own Afghan biscuits! This recipe uses weetbix as one of the main binding agents, to get that classic taste and help with the crunchy texture.

Instructions
  1. Soften butter
  2. Add sugar and beat to a cream.
  3. Add flour and cocoa.
  4. Add the crushed weetbix (either crushed individually between clean, dry hands or place all in a bag and bang with a rolling pin).
  5. Put heaped teaspoons of the mix on a lightly greased oven tray.
  6. Bake 8 - 15mins (Depending on the oven) at 180C.
  7. When the biscuits are cool, ice with either: Real chocolate (250g) bar broken into small pieces and melted in the micro-wave, or 1 T cocoa and 1 c icing sugar and water to mix.
  8. Place walnuts on top to complete the classic Afghan biscuit.
