Tomato Savoury


This recipe is a good way of saving over ripe tomatoes, and is very tasty with meals and just as nice on toast. It is very econmical as it uses your over ripe tomatoes.

Ingredients

  • 4 lge Tomatoes
  • 1 Tblesp Vinegar
  • 3 Tablesp Water
  • 1 Onion
  • 4 Dsp Sugar
  • 4 oz Bacon
  • Salt & Pepper
  • 1 Grated Apple

Directions

  1. Chop Onion Tomatoes and Bacon.
  2. put in a pot with rest of ingredients
  3. Heat in saucepan,
  4. simmer for 20 - 30 minutes
  5. Thicken and Serve
  6. Can be frozen until later.
  7. also u can use Splenda for diabetics instead of sugar.
