The Most Scrumptious Scones Ever!
This is the best scone recipe I have ever come across. You can vary the flavours but cheese scones are a big hit in this house closely followed by date ones.

Ingredients
- 500g plain flour
- 4 1/2 teaspoons cream of tartar
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- pinch of salt
- 75g butter (diced)
- 300ml milk
- 1 1/2 cups of grated cheese or
- 1 1/2 cups of dates and pinch of cinnamon
Directions
- preheat oven to 220c
- sift flour, baking soda, cream of tartar and salt together,
- add diced butter and rub into flour mix until it resembles a coarse breadcrumb consistency
- add milk and stir with knife until it comes together
- add cheese or dates
- lighly knead in bowl, dont overwork the mixture
- cut into 8 rounds and place close together on greased oven tray and bake for about 15 mins until golden and risen
