I'm inspired by the obvious passion that Kiwis have for home cooking expressing itself through the competition. You can sense the emotional attachment that goes along with so many of these recipes. They are clearly reminders of home and the good times that New Zealanders always have around great home cooked food for generations.
There has been some amazing creativity on display, not just with the recipes, but also with the way people have been inspired to share them with others. If you’re looking for something new to make for dinner tonight, the site is a wonderful source of great recipes that work. There’s still plenty of time to enter more recipes and get your friends and whanau to vote for them.
About Paul Jobin: Well-known New Zealand food writer and chef, Paul Jobin, is enthusiastically supporting the campaign and especially encourages people to enter those much-loved recipes that have been in families for generations.
